I don’t care what you do to me, I’m going to achieve everything I dream.
– Park Sae Royi
I have watched many K-dramas, movies of different languages, series, but Itaewon Class is a masterpiece of its own. If you haven’t watched it, you should, its available on Netflix.
(It’s a webtoon-based drama.)
The story revolves around Park Sae Royi, who lost his dad because of Jangga’s CEO. Itaewon Class is a story about how Park Sae Royi finds Love, Hope, and overcomes the hurdles, obstacles and lemons life throws at him. This drama tells you that not every good person might win but if he’s persistent and determined and not gives up, you can achieve anything.
I completed watching Itaewon Class in 2 nights, and at the end of it I was a mess. My heart was broken, though *spoiler alert* it has a beautiful happy content ending, my heart wasn’t at rest. I wanted to know more about Park Sae Royi. He was and still is stuck in my mind 24/7. He inspired me, motivated me to do more in life, to struggle, strive and work hard to achieve all my goals. What school couldn’t teach me, this drama did. It made me want to meet Park Sae Royi but sadly there’s no Park Sae Royi in real life. The only bummer is that it has only 16 episodes, I wish it had more episodes, and given more insight into the life of Park Sae Royi.
Park Seo Joon who played Park Sae Royi did justice to the character, I don’t think any other would have done justice to the character like he did. I’ve watched his other Dramas like ‘What’s wrong with Secretary Kim?’, ‘Midnight Runners’, ‘Fight for My Way’, ‘Hwarang’, ‘She was Pretty’, ‘Kill ME, Heal Me’, ‘A Witch’s Love’ and I loved his acting, but in Itaewon Class it didn’t feel like acting it felt real, to a point where I forgot that its Park Seo Joon who was acting the character Park Sae Royi.
Everyone in this drama acted so well. Jang Dae Hee(Yoo Jae Myung) and Jang Geun Woo (Ahn Bo Hyun) I hated them so much. You know their acting is top notch when you hate them with all your heart. Kudos to all the actors, they really nailed it, one of the reasons why Itaewon class did so well was because of the actors who brought the story to life.
It’s definitely a masterpiece of its own, it has its own touch. Series like these motivates you to go forward in life, even though you’re stuck. You can feel the hard work that he had put in, to become a CEO.
This teaches everyone a lesson, don’t be disheartened when you don’t have nothing, work hard, you’ll eventually reach your target.
This drama is a 10/10
I hope you enjoyed my review, let me know what you think about Itaewon Class.
In my next blog, I’ll be reviewing ‘When Camellia Blooms’
